Toddlers and germs
Toddlers are quite mobile and will often come in contact with germs as they move around. Also, they are drippy and will happily put almost everything they find on their way into their mouth. Exposure to good germs will help improve their immune system. However, they sometimes get exposed to harmful germs and bacteria which can be dangerous to them. This post gives insight into some of the things you can do to help keep your child free from germs.
It is one area that is full of germs. Care should be taken to ensure that the hygiene standards in the kitchen are high. It reduces the possibility of children contacting germs and bacteria like salmonella, corynebacteria which can get them sick. Notice that children get dehydrated fast when they fall sick because their immune system is not yet developed. Take extra care during food preparation and clean up. Use disinfected towels and sponge to wipe the chairs and ensure that you spray disinfectants after the clean-up.
When you bath the toys, the chances are that you will leave some water trapped inside them. It creates a perfect breeding ground for germs and bacteria. So, ensure that you squeeze them and place them out in the sun to dry before you allow the children to start playing with them. Give them a bleach bath once a month.
Ensure that you teach your child always to wash the hands after the business. Teach them to use soap and warm water to wash the hands. Teach the child to shut the lid before flashing.
These are just a few of the precautions you can take to keep your child free from germs.
