How to "conceive a boy"

RSS

Recent scientific research and development have made it possible for parents to  somewhat "choose" the sex of their baby at conception using natural methods.

Shettles Methods

This method relies on the characteristics of the X and Y chromosomes responsible for having a girl and a boy respectively. Unlike the sperm that carry the X chromosomes, those that carry the Y chromosomes are agile and move fast. However, they do not have a thicker protection and so they die quickly. This means that a woman who wants to conceive a boy must have intercourse on the day of ovulation. Doing so gives the Y chromosome a better chance of fertilizing the egg.

Tracking Your Ovulation

Tracking the ovulation period is quite critical. The menstrual cycle is about 28 days long and ovulation will occur on the 14th day from the period’s commencement date. Also, you may listen to the body since it gives signals when it releases the ovary. Lower abdomen cramps and a twinge of pain are some of the signs that should guide you. Alsoc you may check the body temperature using a basal thermometer every morning before you get out of your bed and keep a record. A sudden jump in temperature is a confirmation that you have started ovulating. Other methods that can help you check when ovulation starts include checking the cervix and using a medical kit to detect ovulation. Having intercourse at this point increases chances of conceiving a boy.

Intercourse Position

The rear entry position deposits more sperms close to the cervix. Actually, the Y sperm covers less distance before it hits the target.

Eat alkali rich Diet

Eating alkali rich diets favors the sperm that carry the Y chromosomes. A high pH level helps the Y sperms to stay alive and swim faster. Foods such as red meat, banana and any other food that contain a lot of potassium and sodium can raise the pH level and increase chances of conceiving a baby boy.

Having an Orgasm

Research has found out that having an orgasm speeds up the movement of sperms.

Avoid Too Much Heat

Heat kills the Y chromosomes. Therefore the man should avoid hot baths and should wear boxers when a woman is approaching her ovulation day.
